When I look at this painting, this gorilla look, I can only think of strength, experience, wisdom, kindness…but most of all strength. I see honest and fierce eyes too and that’s why I get drawn to it. Bulletproof, a word in the song Titanium by David Guetta and Sia, a song that for me expresses all what this painting is about, and I wish for everyone to find this strength in their own core. What surprises me the most is that when I started this painting I was feeling in a very dark place, and the first layers had loads of scribbles and energetic strokes of colors. Through time, and after many layers, those scribbles developed into this bulletproof gorilla.
