A commissioned piece, painted for a client who wanted to bring nature into her home — no figures, just the natural world, sized to fit a very particular spot on her wall.

What emerged is a landscape that, to me, echoes the blue lakes and high tree lines of Switzerland, where I once lived — in Bern. Look closely and you'll find four birds, loosely formed, rising freely through the whispering heights — echoing the family of four this painting was made for.
